The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of Namibia on the occasion marking the 25^th Independence Anniversary of that country on March 21, 2015.

In her message to her Namibian counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Hifikepunye Lucas Pohamba, President Johnson Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations to Government and People of Namibia as they observe this historic event, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Liberia and in her own name.

A Foreign Ministry release says the occasion coincides with the recognition of H.E. Mr. Pohamba's extraordinary leadership, as showcased by his achievement in winning the World's most valuable Individual Award, the MO Ibrahim prize for African Leadership.

The Liberian leader than expressed the hope that the bond of friendship so happily subsisting between the two countries and peoples will continue to grow stronger in the years to come as Liberia looks forward to working closely with Namibia for the realization of the ideas and aspirations of their respective peoples.
