President Weah Applauds Turkey On National Day Observance

President George Manneh Weah has congratulated the Government and People of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion commemorating the National Day of that country.  

 

In his message to His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, President Weah on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Turkey as they celebrate this historic event.

 

The Liberian leader recalled that the bonds of friendship subsisting between the people of Turkey and Liberia have resulted in reciprocal support in addressing key issues both bilaterally and multilaterally.  

 

President Weah further expressed gratitude to Turkey for its contribution to Liberia’s national development; he expressed his ardent hope that the relationship between both countries will be strengthened to include joint ventures in the areas of science, technology, educational, trade, tourism and agriculture.   

 

President Weah also, noted with pleasure that perspectives of the two countries on matters of global concern have continue to converge, adding “we remain resolute in our shared pursuit for the continued promotion of world peace and prosperity”.

 

The Liberian President then wished for President Erdogan continued well-being, and for the Government and people of Turkey sustained peace and everlasting prosperity.
