President Weah Extols Libya On 67th Independence Anniversary

President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the State of Libya on the occasion of the 67th Independence Anniversary of that country.

 

In the message to His Excellency Mr. Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj, Chairman of the Presidential Council & Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord of the State of Libya, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to Chairman Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj, and through him, to the Government and People of the State of Libya.

 

The Liberian Leader hoped that as the people of Libya commemorate this joyous occasion, the cordial ties of friendship subsisting between the two countries will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity.

 

President George Manneh Weah then prayed that as the two leaders work together in furtherance of the principles of the African Union and the United Nations for the promotion of global peace and stability, the Almighty Allah will continue to inspire Mr. Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj with his manifold blessings as he leads his compatriots to sustained peace and prosperity.
