President Sirleaf Congratulates the United States On 239th Independence Anniversary
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the United States on the auspicious occasion commemorating the 239th Independence Anniversary of that Country, on July 4, 2015
In her message to U.S President Barack Obama, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of the United States, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name.
"The people of Liberia are highly appreciative of the deep historic and cordial ties of friendship subsisting between our two countries, reflected in our extensive cooperation in many spheres as prominently demonstrated in the bounteous intervention of your government in the fight to eradicate the deadly Ebola virus epidemic from Liberia", the Liberian leader stressed.
President Johnson Sirleaf then added that the Government and People of Liberia shall continue to work in close cooperation, harmony and understanding with the Government and People of the United States to improve the prosperity of the nations in the forward March to a brighter future for the peoples of America and Liberia.
