President Sirleaf Consoles Nigeria

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following the gruesome attack leading to the death of more than 70 people, injuring 129 others and causing massive destruction as a result of the bombings of a crowded bus-station on the outskirt of Abuja, during the morning hours on April 14, 2014.  

 

 In her message to her Nigerian counterpart, His Excellency President Goodluck Jonathan, President Johnson Sirleaf said “The People of Liberia are devastated by this terrible tragedy, and join me in extending to you, and the People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, deepest sympathy for the tragic lost.”

 

The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God grant strength and solace to members of the bereaved families, and wished speedy recovery to the wounded.
