President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Narenddra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India for his election to the high office of Prime Minister of India.

In her message to the Indian Prime Minister, President Johnson Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia to the Indian leader and his Braratiya Janata Party (BJP) for the party‘s overwhelming victory in the just  ended elections which  the   BJP  won.

” Your party‘s victory truly represents the Indian people‘s confidence in your ability to lead India to greater peace, stability and socio-economic advancement” the Liberian President indicated in the message.

 The Liberian leader recalled the peaceful and orderly manner in which the people of India conducted themselves at the pool which she said demonstrates their commitment to democracy and the rule of Law.   

President Johnson Sirleaf further noted that   as Mr. Modi assumes the office of Prime Minister of India, she looks forward to working closely with him in further cementing the brotherly ties of friendship and cooperation between both Governments and Peoples.

Madam Johnson Sirleaf then prayed that the Almighty God will endow the Indian Prime Minister with abundant wisdom and strength as he steers the affairs of states.
