President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a message to the President, Government and People of the United States of America on the occasion marking the 233rd Independence Anniversary of that great country.

In the message to Her  counterpart, His Excellency President Barack Obama, Madam Johnson-Sirleaf expressed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the United States of America leader, and through him, to the Government and People of United States of America on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in Her own name, noting that the ties of friendship and mutual cooperation subsisting between the two countries will be cemented as we continue to identify new areas of collaboration.

The President of the Republic of Liberia then prayed that as Liberia joined in celebrating this historic event, the people of the United States will enjoy the blessings of peace and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency President Barack Obama.
