President Weah Extols The Federal Republic of Nigeria on 59th Independence Observance

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the auspicious occasion marking that country’s 59th Independence Anniversary.

 

 

In his message to his Nigerian counterpart, His Excellency Mahammadu Buhari, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of Liberia and in his own name, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Nigeria as that West African state observes its 59th Independence Anniversary.

 

 

“As the people of Nigeria commemorate this joyous occasion, it is my hope that the historic and cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two countries and peoples will be strengthened for the mutual benefits of our two countries and peoples”, President Weah declared. 

 

The Liberian leader further intimated that as both leaders continue to work in furtherance of the principles of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU) and the United Nations (UN) for the promotion of international peace, security and economic cooperation amongst all nations, it is his fervent prayers that the Almighty Allah will endow his Excellency with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads his people to sustainable peace and prosperity.
