The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has extended sincere felicitations to the Government and People of Pakistan on the historic occasion commemorating the 68th Independence Anniversary of that country.

The Liberian President in her message to her Pakistani Counterpart said: “On the occasion of the 68^th Independence Anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, it gives me immense pleasure to extend sincere felicitations to your Excellency and the People of the Republic of Pakistan, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Liberia and in my own name, I entertain the hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two countries will continue to grow stronger for the mutual benefit of our two peoples. The Government and People of Liberia appreciate your Government’s contribution towards the attainment of peace through the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL). I pray the Almighty Allah will endow you with abundant wisdom and strength as you lead your people to nobler heights.”
