President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the Government and People of the Republic of Madagascar on the occasion commemorating the 55th Independence Anniversary of that country on June 26, 2015.

President Johnson Sirleaf, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, extended warmest congratulations to the Government and People of Madagascar, and prayed that as Madagascar celebrates another year as an independent nation, the Almighty God will continue to strengthen President Hery  Rajaonarimamplanina, as he steers the affairs of his people.

The Liberian President also assured her Madagascan counterpart of Liberia’s determination to continue the cordial relations subsisting between the two countries as the two leaders endeavor to promote the principle of international peace and economic development within the framework of the African Union and the United Nations.
