President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the Government and People of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion commemorating the 93rdAnniversary of the National Day of that country on Saturday, October 29. 2016.

In her message to His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia extended warmest congratulations best wishes to the Government and people of Turkey as they celebrate this historic event which places particular recognition on charity work and volunteerism.

The Liberian leader further stated “even as Europe is faced with the challenge of migration,   Turkey has become an important stakeholder in decisively addressing this global concern, and we remain grateful for your support in the premise”.

The Liberian leader expressed optimism that the long and cordial relationship between Liberia and Turkey will be further enriched and deepened as the two governments work collaboratively for the mutual benefit of their respective peoples.

She further assured President Erdogan of Liberia’s continued support and commitment to the shared values of equality, freedom and justice as the two nations formally strive for the attainment of global peace and security.

The Liberian President then wished for President Erdogan personal well- being and for the Government and people of Turkey renewed economic growth, peace and everlasting happiness.
