The Government of Liberia has released the funeral arrangements for the late Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), Colonel Eric Wamu Dennis, I.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Book of Condolence for the late Colonel Dennis, will be opened on Tuesday, August 23^rd, at the Armed Forces of Liberia headquarters at the Barclay Training Center (BTC), where the Ministry of Defense is also located, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, August 25^th, the remains of Colonel Dennis, I, will be conveyed under appropriate military escort from the St. Moses Funeral Parlors at 4:00 p.m. to the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Paynesville for one night of wake keeping beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The Government of Liberia further announces that on Friday, August 26^th, funeral rites will be said over the remains of the late Colonel Eric Dennis at the Trinity Cathedral on Broad Street, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and interment follows thereafter at the Bensonville Cemetery in Bentol City, Montserrado County.

As a mark of last respect and tribute to the late Deputy Chief of Staff, the President of the Republic of Liberia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has declared a period of mourning during which time the national ensign of the Republic will be flown at half-mast from all public buildings from Friday, August 12, to Friday, August 26, 2016.
