Following Former President Jacques Chirac’s Death, Liberia Sends Message of Consolation to France

President George Manneh Weah has sent a condolence message to the Government and people of the Republic of France, following the death of H. E. Jacques Rene Chirac, former President of the Republic of France.    

 

Former President Jacques Chirac died Thursday, September 262019 in Paris, the Republic of France.   

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in his message to the French President, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, extended deepest condolences to the Government and people of France, especially the bereaved family, for the irreparable loss sustained as a result of the death of former French President Chirac.   

 

While expressing regrets over the passing of the former French leader, President George Manneh Weah told President Emmanuel Macron that the Government and people of Liberia are deeply saddened by the demise of Former French President and Co-Prince of Andorra, Mr. Jacques Rene Chirac.  

 

President George Manneh Weah further expressed hope that the people of France will unite around the ideals and Principles that former President Jacques Chirac cherished so dearly during his reign as President of the Republic of France.     

 

The Liberian President also prayed that the Almighty God will grant President Macron and the French people, the fortitude to endure this time of national grief.
