President Weah Applauds U. S. President Joe Biden, Following Inauguration as 46th President of the United States

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to U. S. President Joe R. Biden on his inauguration as the 46th President of the United States of America.

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in his message to his U S counterpart, President George Manneh Weah expressed confidence that the people of the United States, under the astute leadership of President Biden, will experience a deep sense of national cohesion and renewal.

 

President George Manneh Weah said while the world faces the debilitating effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), the United States’ moral leadership in the rules-based multilateral system is always much desired and appreciated.   

 

 The Liberian President further indicated that, in mitigating the Coronavirus threat to humankind, his government looks forward to a further strengthened level of partnership between Liberia and the United States which is deeply rooted in the two countries’ shared values of freedom, liberty and democracy.

 

President Weah further wished for U S President Joe Biden success and continued good health as he assumed the helm of power and leads the People of the United States to its right place among the comity of nations.
