Liberia Applauds Greece on 199th “National Day” Observance

President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Hellenic Republic of Greece on the occasion commemorating the 199 National Day of that country.

 

 

In the message to His Excellency Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, President George Manneh Weah, extended warmest felicitations and sincere best wishes, on behalf of Liberia, to the Government and people of Greece, as they commemorate this historic milestone. 

 

 

According to a Foreign Ministry Release, President George Manneh Weah also added that as Liberia joins the Hellenic Republic of Greece in observing this special and historic occasion, his government wishes to deeply reflect on the longstanding bilateral relations between Liberia and Greece, especially in the sphere of maritime where both nations continue to enjoy sterling cooperation.  

 

 

The Liberian President further stated that his Government is very proud that, after 199th years of it existence, the Hellenic Republic of Greece, remains true to the values of its nationhood.

 

 

President Weah then assured Greece of Liberia’s unwavering commitment to upholding the two countries’ shared values including the respect for human dignity and equal rights for all mankind, regardless of race, color and religion.  

 

 

The Liberian leader further wished for President Pavlopoulos, continued good health and wisdom, as he leads the people of Greece to renewed happiness and sustained prosperity.
