President Weah Consoles the Government of Canada

The President of the Republic of Liberia His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a message of Condolence to the Government and People of Canada on the death of at least sixty three (63) Canadian citizens who died following the crash of a passenger Jet near Tehran, on Wednesday January 8, 2020.

 

In the message to his Canadian counterpart His Excellency Mr. Justine Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, President Weah expressed shock with great sadness of the news and noted that as the people of Canada go through this difficult period of grief, the Government and People of Liberia extends   heartfelt condolence to the Government and people of Canada, especially the bereaved families for the tragic loss sustained.

 

President Weah prayed that the Almighty God will grant consolation as Canada endures this difficult period of mourning.

 

The Liberian leader also extended fervent prayer that Prime Minister Justine Trudeau will enjoy sound health, longevity and wisdom, as he provides leadership for the peace and unity of Canada.
