President Sirleaf Consoles Nigeria for Terrorist Attack in South Kano
Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following a terrorist attack on November 27, 2015 in the village of Dakasoye, South of Kano, leaving twenty-one (21) dead and several injured.
In her message to her Nigerian counterpart, Mr. Mohammadu Buhari, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of Nigeria, especially families of the victims for the irreparable loss sustained as a result of the terrorist attack.
The Liberian President stressed that the Government and People of Liberia stand in solidarity with the Government and People of Nigeria to condemn all acts of terrorism perpetrated against the peace loving people of Nigeria.
President Johnson Sirleaf further called for global and regional action to bring a halt to all acts of terrorism, which continue to undermine development, peace and stability in the world.
“As you go through this period of national mourning, we pray that the Almighty will grant your Excellency and the People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Strength, courage and fortitude during these difficult times”, stated the Liberian leader.
