President Sirleaf Congratulates Burkina Faso President-elect
Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, has sent a message of congratulations to Mr. Roch Marc Christian Kabore, President-Elect of the Republic of Burkina Faso on the occasion marking his election as the President of that country.
In her message to Mr. Kabore, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name extended warmest congratulations to the Government and People of Burkina Faso on the historic elections of the second civilian President of Burkina Faso since independence 1960.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader aspired that the victory would strengthen relations between both Liberia and Burkina Faso. President Johnson Sirleaf also on expressed hope that Liberia-Burkina Faso relation, which has existed for many years, will grow stronger and continue to flourish in the years ahead.
“As we join you and your compatriots in observing this auspicious milestone, it is my sincere hope that the bonds of friendship so happily subsisting between our two countries will continue to be further strengthened for the mutual benefits of our respective Peoples”, President Johnson Sirleaf, stressed.
