President Weah Hails Austria on 64th National Day Celebration

President George Manneh Weah has expressed confidence that new avenues of opportunity will open up for the peoples of Liberia and Austria to engage in joint initiatives in business, tourism, agriculture, education, as well as science and technology, which will further buttress the cordial bilateral relationship between the two countries.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah’s statement was contained in his congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Austria on the occasion commemorating the 64th National Day of that country.

In his message to the President of Austria, His Excellency Mr. Alexander Vander Bellin, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warmest felicitations to the Government and people of Austria as they celebrate this historic occasion.

President Weah recalled, with satisfaction, that Austria has served as a role model of security, stability and global peace for more than half a century, especially through the United Nations.

"It is in this respect we anticipate that your country will continue to remain guarantor of world peace during these challenging moments of global and political turmoil", the Liberian Leader remarked.

President Weah then wished for President Alexander Vander Bellin, personal well-being as well as for the people of Austria, sustained prosperity and continued happiness.
