The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister elect on the occasion of the unanimous election as Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

In the massage to His Excellency Mr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister-elect, President Weah extended warmest congratulations on the occasion of the re-election as Prime Minister of the great country of Ethiopia and noted that the re-election to this important portfolio is a testimony of your continued dedication to the wellbeing and prosperity of the people of Ethiopia and commitment to the development of Africa.

The Liberian Leader entertained the hope that as the Prime Minister-elect continue this herculean task of leading his people in this rapidly changing age, Liberia hope that Ethiopia will continue to play a prominent role in global affairs as we work together particularly in the fight against the raging coronavirus pandemic and that our two  peoples will nurture new frontiers in our already existing bilateral ties and continue to promote peace and security in keeping with the principles of the African union (AU), and the United Nations (UN).
