President George Manneh Weahhas warmly congratulated Her Excellency Madam Samia Suluhu Hassan on the occasion marking her ascendency to the Presidency of the United Republic of Tanzania.

President George Manneh Weah noted that the ascendency of Madam Samia Suluhu Hassan as the first female president of the United Republic of Tanzania brings enormous pride to all Africans.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah further stated that Madam Hassan’s ascendency to the Presidency of Tanzania is not only celebrated by the people of Tanzania but also by the entire continent of Africa.

He expressed confidence that as President Hassan assumes this herculean task of shaping the future of her country, the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two countries and peoples will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity and the United Nations.

The Liberian leader then prayed that as President Hassan begins this arduous but ennoble journey, the Almighty God will endow Her Excellency with increased wisdom and resilience, to lead the people of Tanzania to greater prosperity and continued happiness under her dynamic leadership.
