President Weah Applauds Nigeria, Botswana On 58th and 52nd Independence Anniversaries

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion commemorating the 58th Independence Anniversary of that West African state.

 

In his message to his Nigerian counterpart, His Excellency Mahammadu Buhari, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Nigerian as they observe this historic milestone.  

 

“As the people of Nigeria celebrate this joyous occasion, it is our fervent prayer that you will continue to be endowed with wisdom and vitality required to lead your people to nobler heights”, President Weah declared.

 

The Liberian leader further entertained the hope that as Liberians join their Nigerian counterparts in observing this auspicious event, the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between Liberia and Nigeria will continue to gain momentum as both leaders work together at the level of the African Union, the United Nations and ECOWAS for the mutual benefits of the two countries and peoples.

 

President Weah also prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to shower President Buhari with abundant wisdom, fortitude and good health as he steers the affairs of his country.
