The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion marking the 55^th Independence Anniversary of that country.

In her message to His Royal Highness Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, President Sirleaf extended heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the Government and people of the State of Kuwait on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in her own name.

The Liberian leader expressed the hope that as the people of Kuwait celebrate this auspicious occasion, Liberia and the State of Kuwait will work together in strengthening the bond of friendship and cooperation between them.

President Sirleaf then prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to endow His Royal Highness Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads his people to sustainable peace and greater prosperity.
