ECOWAS Chair Congratulates Ghanaian President-elect-Promises to Deepen Collaboration in ECOWAS, AU and UN

The President of the Republic of Liberia and Chairperson of ECOWAS Head of Authority, H.E. Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has on behalf of the Heads of States and Government of ECOWAS, extended warmest congratulations to Mr. Nana Akufo Addo, President-elect of the Republic of Ghana on the occasion of his election as President-elect of that West African nation.  

 

In her message to His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the President-elect and applauded the Government and People of Ghana for the peaceful conduct of the recent General and Presidential Elections in Ghana.

 

“We applaud the people of Ghana for further demonstrating an entrenched sustainable democratization of the Republic of Ghana. As you assume this herculean task of shaping the future of your great country, I entertain the hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two countries will be further strengthened through our bilateral facts,” the Chairperson of ECOWAS stressed.

 

President Johnson Sirleaf also expressed hope that as President-elect Akufo Addo assumes the leadership of Ghana, the bilateral ties between Liberia and Ghana will be further strengthened as the two countries work together collaboratively for deepen collaboration in the ECOWAS region and under the auspices of the African Union as well as the United Nations.

 

The Liberian President then prayed that the Almighty God will endow President-elect Nana Akufo Addo with increased wisdom and resilience to lead the people of Ghana to greater heights of prosperity and continued happiness during his tenure.
