The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Bulgaria on the occasion marking the 147th National Day anniversary of that country on March 3, 2025. In his message to counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Rumen Radev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, President Boakai extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia, and in his own name. President Boakai stressed that as Liberians join in the commemoration of this significant occasion, it is his sincere hope that the bonds of friendship between the two nations will continue to flourish and reach new heights that will lead collaborative ventures between the two governments and peoples.

He also stated that Liberia and Bulgaria relationship has spans over five decades and have grown stronger with each passing year. “In the face of unprecedented global challenges, there has never been a more crucial time for our two countries to unite in the pursuit of peace and human rights within the international community”, President Boakai expressed. President Boakai stated that he is appreciative of Bulgaria’s constructive role in Liberia’s post-war reconstruction efforts and he eagerly anticipate further improvement in the cordial relations through joint efforts in both bilateral and multilateral actions. He then extended best wishes for President Radev continued good health and happiness, and for the people of Bulgaria, renewed progress and prosperity.
