President Boakai Congratulates Estonia on National Day Observance
Monrovia, Friday, February 23, 2024: The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Republic of Estonia on the celebration of the National Day of that country on February 24, 2024.
In his message to his Estonia counterpart H. E. Alar Karis, President Boakai extended warm felicitations on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, to the people of Estonia as they celebrate this auspicious occasion.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader informed President Karis that a few weeks ago, he assumed the leadership of Liberia amidst economic challenges and a hopeful population. He furthers that he is committed to leading the people of Liberia towards robust economic growth across all sectors.
The Liberian leader stated that based upon this, he looked forward to mutually beneficial joint ventures between the two governments and peoples.
He stressed that during his most recent annual address to the nation, he unveiled a comprehensive plan to train 10,000 young people in the area of Information Communication Technology (ICT), to create job opportunities.
Furthermore, President Boakai stated that it is his aim to transition Liberia into the digital era by implementing E-governance solutions for collaboration with the Government and people of Estonia which will propel the digital innovation sector.
He then wished for President Karis’ good health and for the people of Estonia, sustained peace and prosperity.
