President Weah Consoles Colombia on Tragic Landslide
President George Manneh Weah has sent a message of consolation to the Government and people of the Republic of Colombia, following the deaths of at least 28 persons and injuries of several others as a result of a landslide in South-Western Colombia. This tragic incident occurred on Monday, April 22, 2019.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, in the message to his Colombian counterpart, Honorable Ivan Duque, President George Manneh Weah extended, on behalf of Liberia, heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Colombia, especially the bereaved families for the tragic loss sustained.
The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will grant the Colombian leader and the people of Colombia solace as they endure this difficult period of mourning.
