President Weah Applauds Zambia on 54th Independence Celebration

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a Congratulatory Message to the Government and People of the Republic of Zambia on the occasion marking the commemoration of the 54th Independence Anniversary of that country.

 

The Republic of Zambia gained her Independent from the United Kingdom on 24th October 1964.

 

In his message to His Excellency Edgar Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Zambia as they commemorate this historic event. 

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President George Manneh Weah Prayed that as the people of Zambia commemorate this historic milestone, the Almighty God will continue to endow President Edgar Lungu with wisdom and strength as he leads his people to greater prosperity.  

 

President Weah also assured his Zambian counterpart of Liberia’s readiness to work closely with the Republic of Zambia aimed at strengthening the bond of Friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two countries and peoples.
