President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Republic of Uganda on the official observance of the 56^TH Independence Anniversary of that country.

In the message to His Excellency Yoweri Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Uganda as they celebrate this unique occasion.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader hoped that as the people of Uganda commemorate this historic occasion, the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between Liberia and Uganda will be further strengthened and cemented for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.

 President Weah expressed confidence that Liberia and Uganda will work together in furtherance of the principles of the African Union and the United Nations for the promotion of international peace, security and economic cooperation amongst all nations.

The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to endow President Museveni with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads the people of Uganda to greater prosperity.
