The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah has extended warmest felicitations and best wishes to the Government and People of China on the occasion commemorating the 69^th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

 In the message to his Chinese counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations to the PRC and hoped that as Liberians join their Chinese counterparts in celebrating this great milestone, the bonds of friendship subsisting between Liberia and China would be strengthened so as to bring the two countries closer.

 According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader wished and prayed that as China celebrates this milestone the people of China will continue to prosper under the wise policies that have accelerated the economic growth of that country.  

“As Liberia joins you and your compatriots in observing this auspicious occasion, it is my sincere hope that the bonds of friendship so happily subsisting between our two countries and peoples will continue to bring us closer for the mutual benefits of our two peoples,” the Liberian leader told his Chinese counterpart.

President George Manneh Weah then wished for the people of China continued blessings of peace, cohesion and increased prosperity under the dynamic leadership of President Xi Jinping.
