President Weah Applauds Trinidad , Tobago on 56th Independence Observance

President George Manneh Weah has congratulated the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on the auspicious occasion commemorating the 56thIndependence Anniversary of that country.

 

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago gained its independence on August 31, 1962 from Great Britain when the Trinidad and Tobago’s flag was raised for the first time.

 

 In the message to Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the Government and People of Trinidad and Tobago as they celebrate this historic milestone.

 

The Liberian leader further expressed confidence that the cordial relations subsisting between the two nations will continue to flourish as both governments work together for the attainment of global peace and security as well as social economic development.

 

While extoling the cordial relations between the two nations and peoples, the Liberian leader added “on this occasion, we renew our friendship and cooperation with your great country in anticipation of broadening partnership in all spheres that promote prosperity in our two countries.”

 

He then prayed that President Paula-Mae Weekes continues to enjoy good health and happiness and for the People of Trinidad and Tobago increased peace, unity and prosperity.
