President Sirleaf Consoles Burkina Faso on Death of 29 Persons
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Republic of Burkina Faso following an Odious Terrorist attack at Splendid Hotel and the Cappuccino Cape in the capital, Ouagadougou, killing 29 persons and injuring many others.
In the message to His Excellency Mr. Roch Marc Christian Kabore, President of the Republic of Burkina Faso, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name, to the government and people of Burkina Fasomostespecially the families of the victims, for the irreparable loss sustained as a result of the tragic attacks.
The Liberian leader assured President Roch Marc Christian Kabore that the people of Liberia stand in solidarity with the Government and People of Burkina Faso and join other peace loving nations in condemning this mendacious act of terrorism perpetrated against the peaceful people of Burkina Faso. The Liberian President then called for global and regional cooperation and action in bringing an end to such barbarity against humanity.
President Johnson Sirleaf prayed that as President Kabore and the people of Burkina Faso go through this difficult period of national mourning, the Almighty God will grant them strength, courage and fortitude.
