President Sirleaf Consoles Cameroon


President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf over the weekend sent a message of condolences to the Government and People of the Republic of Cameroon following the tragic news of a severe flooding resulting from heavy rains. The flooding left 14 people dead, destroyed several homes in 118 villages and left 3,000 people homeless with crops and cattle also damaged.

Expressing shock and sadness over the tragic incident, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia extended heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to President Paul Biya and the government and people of Cameroon, especially the bereaved families, for the loss sustained.

President Johnson Sirleaf also prayed that the Almighty God will grant President Biya and the peace-loving people of Cameroon comfort and solace as they go through this period of natural disaster.
