President Weah Consoles U. S. On Former President Bush’s Passing
The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency George Manneh Weah has sent a Condolence Message to the Government and People of the United States of America on the passing of former U S President George H. W. Bush, who died on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Former President George H. W. Bush was the 41st President of the United States. He died at the age of 94.
In the message to his American counterpart Honorable Donald J. Trump, President George Manneh Weah extended heartfelt sympathy, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name to the Government and people of the United States especially the Bush family.
According to a Foreign Ministry Release, President George Manneh Weah noted that former U. S. President was a great statesman and patriot whose passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many Americans and the world at large.
President Weah also added that former President Bush’s contributions to humanity and peace building helped make the world a better place. The Liberian leader added that the People of Liberia are grateful for the leadership role Mr. Bush played in contributing towards peace and stability during the early days of the Liberian turmoil.
The Liberian President further assured his American counterpart that as Americans mourn the loss of their 41st President, the Government and People of Liberia are with them in their grief and stand in solidarity with the U S in this time of deep distress and sorrow.
The Liberian President then wished for U S President Donald J. Trump, the Government and people of the United States especially the Bush family strength, fortitude and solidarity as they go through this very difficult moment of sorrow.
he Liberian leader further expressed hope that as Liberians join the world in mourning the passing of this great Statesman and patriot, the Bush family and the great people of the United States will find solace in the Lord in their time of bereavement.
