President Weah Consoles Nigerian President Buhari Following Fuel Tanker Blast that Killed At least 10 Person
His Excellency Mr. George Manneh Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia, has sent a Message of Condolence to H. E. Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, following the tragic incident involving a fuel tanker blast on an expressway.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the blast on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway resulted in the deaths of at least ten (10) persons and left several injured and properties damaged.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in my own name, I extend to you, and through Your Excellency, to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially the bereaved families, our heartfelt sympathy for the irreparable loss sustained,” President Weah said.
The Liberian Leader prays that the Almighty Allah will grant President Buhari and the people of Nigeria strength, courage and fortitude as they endure this period of mourning.
