The President of the Republic of Liberia His Excellency  President George Manneh Weah has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba on the occasion marking that country’s Sixtieth (60) Independence Anniversary. 

In the message to his Cuban counterpart His Excellency Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Republic of Cuba, President Weah extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in  his own name.

According to a Foreign Ministry Release, The Liberian President assured that as  Cuba commemorates this monumental milestone of its history, Liberia extends its appreciation of the historic bonds of cooperation and cordial friendship subsisting between the two Countries and Peoples, reflects in our increasing collaboration manifested by the provision of several scholarships in various fields of studies including sports, medicine and other, which present the opportunity to bolster efforts in furthering our deep historic ties.

President Weah then extend his fervent prayer that President Diaz-Canel will enjoy sound health, longevity and wisdom, as he provide leadership for peace and unity of Cuba.
