President Sirleaf Consoles the Arab Republic of Egypt

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt following the terrorist attack in the Sinai Peninsula.

 

At least 13 policemen are believed to have been killed and several others injured in an attack in the Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader, in her message to President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, she expressed profound sadness and shock over the unfortunate news of a terrorist attack.

 

On behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in her own name, President Sirleaf extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially to the bereaved families, heartfelt condolences for the irreparable loss sustained.

 

“We pray that the Almighty Allah will grant Your Excellency Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt strength, courage and fortitude as you go through this period of national mourning,” the Liberian leader stressed.
