President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent two separate Messages of Congratulations to the President, Government and People of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Governor General and People of Canada on the auspicious occasions marking the National Independence Anniversaries of  both countries.
 
A Foreign Ministry Press Release says in the respective Messages to Her Congolese   counterpart, President Joseph Kabila and Governor Michaelle Jean of Candana, President Johnson-Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the two leaders and their respective Peoples on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in Her own name.
