President Johnson-Sirleaf to Commission 18 Officials

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency, Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf will commission 18 senior official of Government Monday, September 15, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. in the C. Cecil Dennis Auditorium at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia.
   Those to be commissioned are Dr. S. Jabaru Carlon, Commissioner, Governance Commission; Honourable Marcus Dahn, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication; Honourable Soko Sackor, Deputy Minister for Operations, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication; Honourable Joseph Geebro, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and Honourable Bernice Dahn, Deputy Minister and Chief Medical Officer, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare
    Also to be commissioned are: Honourable Cletus A. Sieh, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism; Honourable Gabriel I.H. Williams, Deputy Minister for Public Affairs, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism; Honourable Frederick B. Norkeh, Deputy Minister for Commerce , Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Honourable Andrew S. Allakamenin, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Honourable Hester Williams-Catakaw, Deputy Minister for Instructions, Ministry of Education and Honourable Boakai A. M. Sherif, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Agriculture.
       Others are Honourable James B. Logan, Deputy Minister for Planning and Evaluation, Ministry of Agriculture; Honourable Lwopu Kandakai, Deputy Minister for Regional Development, Research and Extension, Ministry of Agriculture; Honourable Peter N. Korvah, Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Ministry of Agriculture;  Honourable Annette M. Kiawu, Deputy Minister for Research and Technical Services, Ministry of Gender and Development; Honourable Rufus Kaine, Deputy Minister for Planning and Administration, Ministry of Gender and Development; Honourable Elizabeth Matu Tubman, Deputy Auditor General, General Auditing Commission and Honourable Winsley Nanka, Deputy Auditor General, General Auditing Commission.
   Accordingly, 15 of the 18 senior officials of Government to be commissioned are Deputy Ministers while two are Deputy Auditor Generals and one Commissioner from the Governance Commission. Four are from the Ministry of Agriculture, while two each are from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICAT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication, Ministry of Gender and Development and two others from the General Auditing Commission.
  Meanwhile, the Doyens and Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Heads of International Organizations, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, the officials of Government and Heads of Public Corporations are invited to attend the commissioning ceremony
