The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in his own name, extended warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al thani, Emir of the State of Qatar and through him, to the Government and People of the State of Qatar on the historic occasion marking the celebration of that country's National Day on December 18, 2024. According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai stated that as the people of Qatar celebrate this historic day, he applauds the longstanding ties of friendship subsisting between Liberia and Qatar that will be further strengthened for the betterment of two countries and peoples.

The Liberian leader added that it is his ardent desire that bilateral relations will continue to grow from strength to strength for the benefit of mutual cooperation in these spheres: agriculture, roads, rule of law, education, and tourism. He then extends his best wishes for His highness's personal well-being and the people of Qatar, continue peace, prosperity and progress in the years ahead.
