President Boakai Extols Malta on National Day
The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of the Republic of Malta, on that Country National Day on Saturday, September 21, 2024. National Day in Malta occurs on September 21, commemorating the day in 1964 when Malta officially gained its full independence from Great Britain. According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai, in his message to his Maltese counterpart, expressed delight and extended heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Malta.
President Boakai also said that this National Day celebration of the People of Malta marks a remarkable journey from their rich history to their status as a vibrant and resilient nation. While hailing the ties between the two countries and the global community, the Liberian President said: “As you commemorate this significant milestone, we acknowledged Malta’s continued progress and its valuable contributions to the global community, Liberia cherish the bond we share with Malta and values the potential for enhanced cooperation between our two Nations”.
The Liberian leader eagerly anticipates that the both Nations’ shared goals will not only strengthen their ties, but will also contribute toward exploring new avenues for collaboration and mutual benefit. President Boakai then personally wished for President Myriam Spiteri Debono good health, prosperity, and happiness, and the People of Malta, peace and prosperity.
