The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of Canada on the auspicious occasion commemorating the 157^th Independence Anniversary of that great country on July 1, 2024. In the message to Her Excellency the Right Honorable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., extended profound congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Canada, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader further stated that Liberia’s relationship with Canada presents the opportunity for exchanges on efforts to deepen future bilateral ties in many spheres. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., then prayed that the people of Canada will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace and unity.
