Mortal Remains of the Late Ambassador Rudolf P. von Ballmoos Arrive in Liberia
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. B. Elias Shoniyin, led the senior staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to await and receive the mortal remains of the Late H. E. Mr. Rudolf P. von Ballmoos, Liberia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Court of Saint James, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
He died Thursday, December 17, at the Epsom General Hospital in Surrey, London, U.K. He was 56.Prior to his demise, Ambassador von Ballmoos, served his Country and People as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, The Vatican and the Sovereign Military Hospitalier Order of Malta.
He also served as Liberia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana. The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will open a Book of Condolence on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, for the late Ambassador.
H. E. Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, will lead an array of Liberian Government officials at the signing of the Book of Condolence which commences at the 11 0’clock ante meridian.
