Liberian President Congratulates Venezuela on Independence Anniversary
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the Government and People of Venezuela, on the historic occasion marking the Independence Anniversary of that country. Venezuela commemorates its 200th Independence Anniversary on July 5th. It gained independence from Spain on July 5th, 1811.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, His Excellency Huego Cheveiz, and through him, the Government of Venezuela, on behalf of the Liberian Government.
President Johnson Sirleaf further wished that the warm relations that subsist between Liberia and Venezuela will continue to flourish as both countries work together for the betterment of global peace, security and mutual respect of sovereignty.
The Liberian leader then wished for President Chaveiz good health and happiness, and prayed that the people of Venezuela live in peace, unity and prosperity under his dynamic leadership.
