Liberian President Congratulates Italian Counterpart on ‘National Day’
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed hope that the cordial and bilateral relations subsisting between The Republics of Liberia and Italy will be further strengthened as the two countries seek to promote peace and security.
In a Foreign Ministry press release, President Johnson Sirleaf made the statement today (June 2nd) when she congratulated the President, Government and People of the Republic of Italy on the historic occasion marking the observance of the National Day of that country.
In a message to her Italian counterpart, His Excellency Giorgio Napolitano, President Johnson Sirleaf conveyed warmest felicitations and best wishes to the Government and People of Italy on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.
The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will grant the Government and People of Italy the blessings of peace, unity and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of President Giorgio Napolitano and particularly wished for His Excellency, good health, long life and prosperity.
