The Government of the Republic of Liberia has expressed its profound delights over the recent development surrounding the capture and subsequent killing of the leader of the Al-Qaeda movement, Mr. Osama Bin Laden, who was pick-up by American Special Forces in his hiding place in Pakistan on Sunday.

According to a Foreign Ministry Release, the Liberian Government views this remarkable development as a positive achievement towards the fight against Terrorism as well as the attainment and promotion of global peace and stability.

The Liberian Government further wishes to note that while it welcomes this positive development, it does not believe that the demise of Mr. Osuma Bin laden is the end of terrorism which threatens international peace and security.  

Meanwhile, the Liberian Government is calling on supporters and collaborators of BIn Laden and his terrorist network to refrain from   their struggle and join the international community so as to keep the world peaceful and safe for the human race.
