Liberian Ambassador Returns to Post

Monrovia, Friday, February 29, 2008: The Liberian Ambassador to the United States of America, Charles Minor, whose return to the country a fortnight ago was speculated in the media as his recall, will return to duty this weekend in Washington.


Foreign Minister Olubanke King-Akerele has commended Mr. Minor for his important contributions to the success of the State-visit of United States President, George W. Bush to Liberia.


The Minister made the statement at a post-visit meeting of senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and when Mr. Minor went to take leave of his scheduled departure this weekend to resume duties in Washington, D.C.


Minister King-Akerele used the occasion to express thanks and appreciations to all agencies of Government and the Liberian People for the warm reception given President Bush.
