The Government of the Republic of Liberia wishes to refute reports in some international and social media of its revocation of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Kosovo.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, Liberia was one of the first countries to recognize Kosovo’s sovereignty on May 30, 2008 following its declaration of independence, and remains committed to the Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations. The two countries continue to enjoy mutual confidence and friendship.
