Twelfth EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue Set for 13 August 2024

The Government of the Republic of Liberia and the European Union (EU) will convene on August 13, 2024 for the Twelfth EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue. Co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and the Head of the European Union Delegation to Liberia, Ambassador Nona Deprez, the meeting aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and address key mutual interests grounded in shared values.

The agenda for this significant event includes a broad range of topics crucial to both parties. These encompass bilateral EU-Liberia cooperation, Good Governance and Rule of Law, Human Rights, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability, International and Regional Peace, Justice and Security, Trade, Investment, and Economic Cooperation. Furthermore, the dialogue will cover Cultural Exchange, Youth Employment and Education, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development, and Infrastructure, Technology, and Connectivity.

The Liberian delegation will feature Cabinet members and Heads of Agencies, while the European Union Delegation will include Ambassadors and Charges d’Affaires from EU Member States in Liberia, namely Sweden, Germany, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The meeting will commence at 8:00 AM at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This twelfth session of the EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue is expected to yield significant insights and agreements that will enhance the partnership between the two entities, reinforcing their commitment to collaborative progress and shared prosperity.
