On 173rd Independence Celebration, Liberia’s Honorary Consul in Istanbul, Turkey Applauds Liberia

The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Liberia to Istanbul, the Republic of Turkey Mr. Selahattin YILMAZ has sent a congratulatory message to the government and people of Liberia on the occasion marking the I73rd Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Liberia.

 

In his message addressed to Liberia’s Foreign Minister H. E. Gbehzohngar Milton Findley, Mr. Selahattin YILMAZ extended heartfelt felicitations and sincere best wishes to the Foreign Minister, and through him, to the Government and people of Liberia as the country commemorates this historic milestone.

 

He commended the Liberian government under President Weah for sustaining the peace and stability the country enjoys today, which he said has enabled the government under President Weah to intensify the processes of economic reconstruction and national renewal.

 

The Liberia’s Honorary Consul also emphasized that, the progress made is evident by the various policies and strategies being formulated and implemented by His Excellency President George Manneh Weah, including his government‘s Vision2030 Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PADP) which focuses on job creation for the ordinary Liberian people; improvement of the country’s energy sector; physical infrastructure development and youth empowerment.

 

Mr. Selahattin YILMAZ then informed the Liberian Foreign Minister that as Liberia anticipates achieving these and many other goals, Liberia’s Honorary Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey is ever ready and prepared to contribute towards Liberia’s development agenda.
